Development
Players who pre-order FM17 will receive a free early-access beta version of the game two weeks prior to the official release. Careers started in the beta version can be continued in the full release.

On the review aggregator Metacritic, Football Manager 2017 received a score of 80 out of 100, based on 29 critics, indicating «generally favorable reviews».
